St Mary's: A Hub of Faith
RE Inspection: St Mary's is 'Outstanding' in all areas!
In our most recent Diocesan Inspection, St Mary's was judged to be 'Outstanding' in all areas: Religious Education, Collective Worship and Catholic Life. This is a real achievement and demonstrates the strength of our school as a hub of faith. Let's keep on striving together to maintain the very high standards we have at St Mary's! You can read a copy of our report here.
Our Global Partnership
For over 15 years, St Mary's RC Primary School has been 'twinned' with two schools in Kenya: St Anthony's Primary School (Nakuru) and Catholic Parochial School (Nairobi). Through a partnership with the Franciscan Sisters, we have engaged in various projects and undertaken a number of reciprocal visits with our partner communities. Alongside this, in conjunction with the Parish 'Gift for Life' group, the school has supported the work of the 'Little Sisters' through fundraising - particularly as part of our Lenten alms-giving appeals. Over the past two decades, the school has supported: projects enabling rural communities to have access to clean water; a residential home for 'street boys' in Nairobi; farming projects to support the development of community shambas (allotments); projects supporting young mothers.
