Dressed in our finest Victorian outfits, Year 6 enjoyed an amazing trip to Beamish on Monday. At the schoolhouse in the Pit Village, we endured the hardships of an authentic Victorian lesson (with the very strict teacher 'Sir'!). After lunch, we explored the village further before heading to Pockerley Hall for 'Worth Fifty Horses'. During the activity, we had to decide whether we wanted to invest in the new railways about to built in the area by listening to the opinions of various stakeholders who we interviewed. Afterwards, we held a debate in the church - we were all very passionate about our opinions! We had an amazing our trip, and the rain even held off until we got on the coach to come home!
