Today we spent the morning learning with visiting artist Charlotte Smith - we made Zoetropes out of cardboard and bicycle wheels! Zeotropes became popular during the Victorian era and created the first form of animation! We made all the component parts of our zoetropes out of cardboard which we had to measure carefully. Then we used glue guns to secure the pieces together. We used our creative talents to make the still images which then became animated when we spun the bike wheels!
