Today we went to the Great North Museum: Hancock as part of our Science topic all about Adaptation and Evolution. We enjoyed a workshop with Dr Kate who brought some (former!) animal friends for us to study. We looked carefully at all the special features which made those animals especially adapted for living in different environments. Then we looked at a variety of replica skulls to help us understand human evolution - this was fascinating! Afterwards, we enjoyed lots of activities in the galleries of the museum.
