Today Year 6 played a very special role in the whole school pilgrimage walk to Chase Park. We worked together to carry our school cross and lead the school on our pilgrimage. As we walked, we reflected on how Jesus felt carrying his own cross and how having the help of other people to carry his burden was so important. When we arrived at the park, we had a special liturgy where we created our own crosses to reflect on our experience. Then, together as a whole school, we shared our crosses and a prayer which we wrote together. Afterwards we led the classes back to school. We enjoyed our pilgrimage - it was a beautiful (but cold!) morning and the sun was shining brightly on our special journey.
