Today we were again visited by Bike-it Ben. Instead of repairing punctures this time, we were measuring the effect of different types of exercise on our pulse rate. After a discussion about healthy eating and the importance of exercise, we then (after many attempts at finding it!) measured our resting pulse rates before splitting into three groups: control (resting), moderate exercise (walking) and intense exercise (running). When we had each completed 5 minutes of our activity, we again measured our pulse rate to see the effect of our activity. Check out the photos to see us exercising (or resting!) very hard!
