Year 5 were set a challenge of creating a fraction line showing as many different equivalent fractions as possible. Quickly, groups realised that working systematically helped to calculate many different equivalent fractions - sometimes too many for the paper!
As part of out History topic, Year 5 have been investigating the justice system used in Anglo-Saxon times. After discussing the benefits and negatives of each type of punishment, we created freeze frames to show the following forms of punishment: - Trial by hot water - Trial by cold water - Trial by blessed bread - Blood feud - Hue and cry - Tithing - Trial by hot iron Can you guess which freeze frame represents each punishment? |
