Year 5 have been getting to grips with using atlases in Geography as part of their topic on investigating the features if the United Kingdom. In this lesson we used atlases to locate and name the counties of the UK. We found this quite challenging but enjoyed creating our own maps with a key!
Year 5 have been reading The Highwayman poem by Alfred Noyes. This was written in 1906 but was inspired by the real-life highwayman, Dick Turpin, who terrorised the highways of Essex in the 1700's.
