In science we have been learning all about different habitats and the organisms that they support. We worked in pairs to make habitat boxes thinking carefully about the plants and animals that we would put in them.
In Literacy we have been learning about a special type of Japanese poem called a Haiku. A Haiku has 3 lines with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the middle one and 5 in the last. Here is an example:
The sky is so blue.
The sun is so warm up high.
I love the summer.
Haikus are often about nature which makes them a great topic for spring time!
