On a cold, muddy and rainy night at St Mary's nine girls (wearing the brand new school home kit) bravely took part in this year's Northern Cross Cup 1st round. For most of the girls, this was their first ever experience of organised football - and the weather could not have been more perfect! After getting used the speed of the game, the girls performed admirably and with the determination and teamwork that you would expect from a St Mary's team. The girls managed to finish in a very respectable 3rd place in the group, and they are looking forward to more opportunities to show off their football skills in the future - well done, girls!
