Catholic Cup Football
Our first games in the Catholic Cup this year proved to be very successful. We travelled to St Mary's in Blackhill, Consett to play 3 games with the winner going through. We won all 3 games (3-0, 1-0 and 3-1) playing some good football along the way. We were very pleased not only to have scored lots of goals, but to have only let one goal in all night. Adam Hopkinson and Matthew Williams scored 3 goals each, and congratulations goes to Rachel Grant for being the first girl to score for St Mary's first team. We look forward to the next round of the competition.
Football Tues 2nd October
Our school team started the league campaign on Tuesday 2nd October at Fellside School. We finished our group second which was a good effort against tougher teams than we have played so far. We won our first game 1-0 against Swalwell with Adam Hopkinson scoring the goal. Our second game finished 0-0 against Lobley Hill with some fine goalkeeping from Josh Murdy. Our third game was a 1-0 defeat to Front Street who topped the group.
