As part of our Extended Learning Week focusing on rights, we again celebrated rights in our school by taking part in Outright 2016. This year's theme was based on the journey of refugees. From Reception Class thinking about what they need to feel loved to Year 6 speaking out to uphold the rights of refugees, the whole school has learned about and engaged with learning about rights. Year 5 and 6 were also very fortunate to be visited by an Asylum Seeker who shared his experiences - this really emphasised the importance the work of organisations like UNICEF has on upholding people's rights all over the world. Check out the display outside of Mr Wheatley's office to see the work we have produced!
