I am writing to inform you of a few changes to the school calendar this week brought about by the severe weather we have experienced today and the forecast for the remainder of the week. The changes will be as follows:
- All after-school clubs postponed for the week (including Happy Feet, Irish Dancing, Gymnastics, Art Club, Gardening Club and Y6 Booster).
- World Book Day postponed until Wednesday 14th March.
We will still endeavour to go ahead with our Y4 Class Liturgy on Friday, to which I would like to offer an open invite to all members of our school family (not just those with a child in Y4) as a way of preparing for Easter in an uplifting and prayerful way.
Finally, I would just like to remind you all that the protocol in the case of a school closure is as follows:
- If the decision is made before the school day, parents will be informed via: text message, Twitter (also available on the Homepage of the school website), Gateshead Council's school closures page and local radio. A decision will be made in as timely a manner as humanly possible.
- If a decision is made during the school day, the same channels of communication will be used, and pupils will be kept safely in school until collected by a parent/carer or nominated adult.
Apologies for any inconvenience these changes may have caused, and thank you as ever for your ongoing support.
Kind Regards,
Mr J Wheatley
Headteacher
