We have had a very short but packed half term in Year 4, with the highlight being our trip to Gateshead CLC.
It is hard to believe that we are at the end of our second term in Year 4, it has gone so quickly but we managed to squeeze in so many things.
For our Comenius Assembly and CD, Year 4 chose to sing Water of Tyne.
This term in Year 4, the children have learnt a great deal from a 'Tudor Visitor'.
The math's group have also taken part in a 'Math's Trail'.
Once again Dr Maths organised a Maths Trail in Newcastle. This year it was along the Quayside and some of the children from KS2 accompanied by parent helpers had to follow the trail and solve the puzzles. This event is to show the chldren that maths is important in our everyday lives, not just in lessons at school.

We had a special treat this year,Mrs McMillan booked a pantomime with a difference. It was very entertaining. We also had a special performance of our own.We enjoyed learning many new songs and we played the part of the audience. All of our singing eventually scared the evil witch!
We are also trying to be very sporty as most of our class have joined the basketball team on a Wednesday lunchtime with Mrs. Joyce.
Gateshead Council delivered some spring bulbs so we all planted our own bulbs and we will find out in the Spring who has green fingers!
It has been an exciting year in Year 4. The children have enjoyed studying topics including the Tudors and Space and excelled in being reporters at the Evening Chronicle’s News Room. They also really enjoyed the trip to Segedunam where they dressed up in Tudor clothing. Year 4 also all performed beautifully at the Gateshead School’s Sing-along event and when they went carol singing at Whickham Health Centre.
