]]>We have been so busy this term- making new friends (especially our Buddies!)learning new routines, saying our sounds, (The sound table is very popular!) counting our numbers..............no wonder we are tired!
The Road Safety Lady came to visit, so did the Music Workshop.
We have enjoyed our topics on Ourselves & Journeys which of course included the Journey to Bethlehem in preparation for the Birth of Baby Jesus. We had a great party too and sang heartily to our mams & dads!
We are looking forward to a well deserved rest but also to coming back to school in January.

]]>We have been finding out about the Vikings, building our own Viking ships and learning how they used these to invade and settle in our country.
Sewing lessons have taken over Friday afternoons, thanks to some of our parent helpers nearly everyone has successfully sewn a bookmark using cross-stitch or a purse or both. 
A surprise visit from zoo-lab created great excitement and we discovered many new facts about plants and animals in the rainforest which fitted in really well with our topic, habitats. The children were allowed to hold a snake and a giant millipede, which was like a walking toothbrush! They found out the importance of the creatures we saw and the role they play in keeping the rainforest alive.

The highlight of the term was our Christmas production which was linked to our school Comenius project.
Mrs. Wright and other teachers visited Poland in October and thought it would help us to find out facts about all the countries involved in the project.
The class learned about famous people and landmarks in Italy, Poland, England and Turkey using rhymes and songs to help.

At the DLI the children learned all about what life was like in the home guard. They experienced wearing WWII uniforms and actually held many original artefacts from the war.
They also enjoyed making their own replica Anderson shelters. Some were fantastic and contained all the things found inside one.

In November we enjoyed learning all about The Great Fire of London and also the visit of "Zoo Lab" which tied in nicely with our mini-beasts topic.
Later, in the run up to Christmas, we have enjoyed doing lots of craft and making the classroom all sparkly!
We are now very excited about our Christmas party tomorrow and Toy Day on Wednesday.
