Year 1 have had a very busy half term, and have been working very hard!
We've been thinking all about our rights and responsibilities, by reading "Isn't it a Beautiful Meadow?" by Wolf Harranth. We thought about how it is our responsibility to look after the world, and showed this in a colourful class display.
We have also been thinking about homes and buildings, and creating our very own model houses, having planned them carefully. We tried very hard to show whether our home was a flat, a detached house, a semi detached house, a bungalow or a terraced house.
All of Key Stage 1 have been working really hard to raise money during Lent! We have been collecting money in our class tubs, taking part in the Mother's Day sale, wearing green for a day, and most fun of all, taking part in a sponsored Hoop Hop afternoon! All of the children had a brilliant time and have raised lots of money for a children's cancer charity. Don't forget to bring in your sponsor money!
