Year 5 get potty for Ancient Greece.

« Spring in Year 1! | Main | Little Bear and Me! »

Well it's been a busy old term in Year 5 so far. We've been studying all things Greek in History and that has spilled over in to our other subjects, leading to some fruitful Literacy work on Myths and Legends, with some particularly successful Fables being written, inspired by the Greek author Aesop. As you can see from the pictures, we also turned our hands to a little pottery making. The children designed and created their own pot, inspired by examples of Ancient Greek pottery studied in class and are able to explain what use their pot may have had in an Ancient Greek household.
