We have had a wonderful 2 days with our visitors from Turkey, Poland and two schools in Italy. They have enjoyed sharing in our lessons and finding out about our local area.

St Mary's has been bursting at the seams with 31 adults and children from our partner countries.
Our theme has been stereotypes and observing gestures which are used in all countries often without realising we are using them. We had a fantastic assembly this morning which involved singing Turkish, Italian and Polish songs as well as the Blaydon Races from our local area.
They have visited Newcastle and Durham to see the great cities which we have in the North East of England and understand some of our culture.
We wish them a safe journey back to their countries and look forward to seeing them again in May.
