Year 4 Autumn 2010

One of our neighbours donated six huge pumpkins for us to use at Halloween. They made fabulous lanterns and the whole class had a taste and some quite liked it when they didn't think they would.

We had such beautiful colours from the leaves that fell this year we decided to follow some of  Andy Goldsworthy's  ideas and create some leaf sculptures.

It was very messy collecting the leaves from the school grounds, then we had to order them by size and use a lot of glue to make them shine.

We also used the leaves to draw and create sketches looking really closely at all the veins on the leaf.
