Year 1 have had a very busy term this summer, and it's been great being back as their teacher!
We had a brilliant day at the CLC when we all dressed up as pirates! The people who were there from different schools got a big shock when a coach load of ferocious villains turned up!
We've also been learning about the Gruffalo, who sent us an intriguing note, inviting us to a picnic! Unfortunately, the rain meant we had to eat our picnic indoors, but we really enjoyed making our own picnic food! We also made this fabulous Gruffalo collage, which everyone helped to create.
We've worked very hard in maths this term, and everyone enjoyed making symmetrical patterns using lots of materials.
We even designed and made our own playground models!
Now Year 1 are looking forward to being the oldest ones in Key Stage 1 when they come back to school after the summer holidays. Good luck everyone!
