Year 4 - working hard in 2010!

The term didn't start very well with snow in January!! and school closed for a few days, however we are catching up and learning lots of new things this term.

We have been learning about life in a small village in India and comparing the way of life there to our way of life.
Mrs Smith, Nikhil's mam, came in to talk to us and show us traditional India costumes and had some for the children to try on. She also had bindis and bracelets for the girls and raki bracelets for the boys.

We tasted some of the traditional India sweets, mmmm very nice. The children decorated hands as if using henna, they made some very elaborate patterns.
