!Hola amigos!

The children have been working hard, settling into the new routines and practices of Reception Class.
The Buddy system has been great –well done Y5!
Our topics on Ourselves and Journeys have proved popular and we moved into Advent last week, preparing for the birth of Baby Jesus. We are looking forward to our journey to the Metro Centre for our Nativity and hope to see you there. We are going by coach as there weren’t enough donkeys! (I’m sure you are all familiar with the carols by now!)
We have begun our Spanish and the boys and girls enjoy responding to the register and swapping daily greetings with each other. We are learning the colours just now.
Thank you for participating in our sound of the week –the table all looks colourful.
We have visited the library and the children’s behaviour was excellent.
I hope you enjoyed the Book Bag project & that it encourages the children to want to use the library often.

We have been visited by our Road safety Lady and the Music Workshop – who are returning next week for a Christmas Special.
In the second half term we embarked on a specialist PE session with ‘Stuart’ and the children absolutely love it! They work really hard, so if they are tired at tea-time you know why!

A special thank you to the parent helpers –don’t forget to come back in January!
And finally,
Feliz Navidad y Feliz Ano Nuevo 2010 donde Senora Ostell y Senora Beard.
(That is –Happy Christmas and Happy New Year!!!)
