Year 4 Autumn Term 2009

« !Bienvenidos a la clase recepcion! | Main | News From Year 2!!! »

Doesn't time fly when you're having fun and the children in Year 4 are certainly doing that while they are learning!

We are looking at those Terrible Tudors and all the horrible things they did to one another, especially if you were poor or a witch.

Our historical story this term is Thomas and the Tinners. This is about a boy who worked in a Cornish tin mine. We have looked forward to reading it and acting parts out using the language that they used then.

We have also been studying electricity and making circuits and switches.

Michael Faraday invented the first electric motor this allowed the light to rotate in lighthouses. We made a lighthouse show this but needed a switch so the light can be switched off.
