Y6 On An Adventure- By Christina Bertie
On The 29th of June 2009 Y6 from St.Mary’s School went to Whitaugh Park on a Residential trip. It was great although the bus journey took a long 2 ½ hours.
Whitaugh Park has many different facilities and activities to do.
Whitaugh Park has great accommodation and great places to relax and play.
There are many activities including:
Canoeing/kayaking, Low ropes, High Ropes, Rock Climbing, Gorge Walking, Mountain Biking, Swimming, Raft Building e.t.c.
At Whithaugh Park there is a shop called the Trading Post where you can buy all sorts of food snacks, drinks, hats and much more all for a reasonable price.
Personally, my favourite activity was definitely canoeing/kayaking.
The meals at Whithaugh Park were absolutely amazing with a variety of different mains and desserts. For example one night we had lasagne and chocolate cake… YUMMY!

Hi everybody! I am enjoying Thomas More, but very hard work. We are all doing well in the school! I miss all the teachers in St Marys very much. I hope yr6 enjoy their final year at St Marys, and I will see most of them in Thomas More. I miss my buddy, Emily Walters, and I hope she and her friends are enjoying yr2, with Miss Hunt. I am going to come on the website every month and see what has been going on. I will also leave a message every time I come on. We did a cake sale etc and a raffle in pastoral 2 day 2 raise some money 4 charity my pastoral raised £289
