Spring in Year 4

It is hard to believe that we are at the end of our second term in Year 4, it has gone so quickly but we managed to squeeze in so many things.

Mrs Smith's visit

The children have been continuing to learn about India and it's different cultures and traditions. Mrs Smith came and shared lots of interesting facts with us, she even brought Indian sweets, bindis, jewellery and traditional costumes so we could be involved in the whole experience.

Beautiful Indian Saris

Not to be left out!

In science we experimented with hot water and ice to try and find out which material was the best insulator. We had to make sure that some things were kept the same to make it a fair experiment. Some groups guessed right but some had results that they didn't expect however it was interesting finding things out.

Using thermometers

Two weeks ago we worked with the More Than Dance team for a whole day where we learned 4 very moving spiritual dances which told The Easter Story. Parents were invited for an assembly and we were all very proud of the way we performed for them, sharing the message of Easter.

Last week we took part in the KS2 sponsored walk and used all our energy walking through the woods and around the lake. Now we are ready for a well earned rest. Happy Easter!

Still smiling!
