Year 5 mixed basketball team did not concede one basket on their way to win the tournament at Whickham High school. 
Luke Pani, Jack Wilson, Harry Young, Alex Leng, Jack Knight, Rachael Laidlaw, Stephanie Booth and Emily Thompson proved to be the best basketball team in Gateshead for their age. Successfully winning all their group games, they then beat Whickham Front Street to secure their place in the final. Emily Thompson proving to be star shooter with the winning basket in both the semi-final and final. Mrs Joyce, team coach, was delighted with the performance from the team. She hailed the attitude and spirit of those involved in the tournament win.
