What's happening in Year 4?

We've only been back 6 weeks and so much has happened!

Kung Hei Fat Choi

First some of our class went to the CLC at Gateshead to meet visiting poets and we wrote poems about space aliens. Our group met Gez Walsh, who was really funny.

We have been learing about how our body moves using bones, muscles and our skeleton. Mrs Pomeroy showed us how to create some really good pictures with straws, chalk and even polystyrene!

In geography we are looking at and comparing a town in another country, India. Miss Seghal came to visit us and taught us some intersting dance steps from the traditional garba dance.

Then she painted patterns on all our hands using henna, we had to sit very still until it dried, this was very difficult!

Last week to celebrate the Chinese New Year we made lanterns, lucky money bags, dragons on sticks and a long dragon to display on the wall. This year is the Year of the Ox, we are all dragons or rabbits!
