Spring Term in Year 2

We have been very busy this half term in Year 2.

We have been starting to practise for the Skipping festival at the end of this month. There are some wonderful skippers in Year 2!!

We have now finished Strumbie Island and have been preparing some work which is to be used in a magazine article. More information on this to follow, but we are very excited!

We have also been learning some new songs. Our singing and dancing was put to the test by the 'More Than' dance team. Sue and Kevin came to school on Thursday 5th February and taught us 5 new Liturgical dances. We had great fun all day.

How many can you remember?
Father God
Blessing
Great Big God
Tree Story
Hosanna

In other studies we have been looking at 'Electricity'. It has been very interesting and we now know lots that we didnt know before. We hope to make a circuit next week. Mams and Dads should ask the children in Year 2 how much they can remember about electricity. I bet they will be shocked!

Shocking picture!!!

"Oh I do like to be beside the seaside........". Geography has been interesting too. We have been studying the seaside, and are about to move onto Island Homes. The seaside is a very interesting place.
