Y6 Autumn Term Update!
The Children in Y6 have been really busy this term and are currently preparing for their final Christmas performance of " The Snow Queen" (Pictures to follow )
But Ben has taken time out to report on this very exciting and action packed term for Y6.... Over to you Ben...

In Year 6 this term we have been learning about WW2 we learnt a lot about Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill we also built an Anderson shelter. For our school trip this term we went to Eden camp which is an educational world war two museum, we learnt lots there. On Armistice Day we visited the War Memorial in Whickham and said a special prayer.
We’ve all enjoyed learning about biographies for two homework tasks we had to write a world war two celebrity biography and a celebrity of our choice.
Also in literacy we have been reading some of Shakespeare’s plays and we found them very interesting also and we’ve been looking at archaic language and have made up some brilliant Shakespearian isults.
In maths we have been doing a bit of algebra, we’ve been cracking some really hard codes.
In science we have been looking at reversible and irreversible changes we’ve done lots of experiments to do with it. One of the experiments was making a volcano which we found out during when we added different chemicals it made a chemical reaction.
In addition some people have been going to maths lessons on Saturdays to make them the best they can be, at the end of the lessons all of the participants got a scientific calculator and a maths dictionary. The calculator is the best in the UK.
