The End of Autumn Term in Year 2!

We have been really busy in Year 2 over the last few weeks. We have done so much!

In Literacy we have been studying traditional stories. We have planned, acted out and written our own versions. We have created some magnificent 'unique' traditional stories.

In Numeracy we have been working on partitioning, addition and subtraction. Some of us have been partitionning numbers up to 100,000!!!! I am so pleased with everyone making good progress.

We have also been preparing for Christmas in Advent. We have our own Advent Wreath in the classroom and we have made special advent prayers which we have hung on our christmas tree.

In DT we have designed, made and evaluated a winding up toy based on a popular childrens rhyme! We then performed as a class to the song for all of the reception children who thought our spiders were brilliant.

Some of the other things we have done are:

Performing our wonderful play - The Little Red Robin. We hope you enjoyed it.

Going to the Village Memorial to celebrate Rememberance Day.

We Remember

Having an assembly instead of a mass in the school hall.

Some wonderful singers

The end of term is almost here.....we cant wait for our party. We hope evryone has a lovely Christmas and Mr McCarthy is looking forward to seeing you all again in the New Year.
