A visit from Dr Ben!

Today Year 2 had a brilliant visit from Dr Ben who came to tell us all about how babies are looked after in hospital, for our science topic!

Dr Ben is a doctor, who looks after newborn babies. He showed us all the tests he does to check that the baby is healthy, and told us all about safety with medicines. We really had fun listening to him, and trying out our own doctoring skills!
Thomas listened to his own heart, using a stethoscope.

Dr Thomas!

Dr Jack learned how to check for fingers and toes...

...feel the baby's spine to check that it's straight...

The children in our class asked Dr Ben lots of questions about his job!

At the end, Dr Ben even read us a story using lots of different voices! We had a brilliant time - thank you for coming to visit us, Dr Ben!
