Farewell to School
Poem from Mrs Briggs
Sadly Mrs Briggs left our school last term after many years of looking after the children during lunchtimes. She was presented with gifts and cards from all the children and staff and left us with a poem of some of her memories.
FAREWELL TO SCHOOL
Farewell to school dinners and children too
Farewell to friendships - old and new
Farewell to fights and naughty boys
Girls who sqabble and all the noise!
Farewell to avoiding being hit by the ball
Farewell to lies - both big and small
Farewell to the winters 'cause when you're old
You don't want to be standing out in the cold!
Farewell to the summers - oh what a joy
Playing out in the field - both girl and boy
Farewell to tantrums - no I won't be sad
Oh! and by the way - the children are just as bad!
Farewell to the friendships - old and new
Farewell, goodbye - to all of you!
