European Day May 8th 2008
Anyone visiting St Mary's School today will be very surprised to see many of the children wearing different colours to our normal school uniform.
Today the children in KS1 are wearing red and yellow or traditional Spanish costume and have been looking at all things Spanish.
They all met together to share their activities in an assembly and sang songs that they have been learning in weekly Spanish lessons with Senora Ostell
KS2 are wearing red, white and blue as they are studying facts about France. They went into colour groups to do mixed activities finding out about the food, clolours, numbers and finding out about France using ICT.
Thank you to Madame Pinkney who made an excellent choice of European lunches from Italy, Spain, England and France.

Hola from Montecanal school in Zaragoza, Spain. What a lovely idea to celebrate European Day. Your Spanish dancers are perfect. We are going to print off your photos to show the children at our school.
