Spring Term in Reception
The Spring term has been very busy in Reception class! We have learned a lot about Living Things and what they need.

We have sorted and classified animals and birds into their environments, grown plants in different settings and looked closely at what we need ourselves to grow healthy.
Our flower Shop has been very popular.
The highlight of the topic was when “Farmer Norman” brought in the REAL baby lambs for us to look at, feed and stroke (we washed our hands afterwards!) The children asked some very interesting questions and “Farmer Norman said they would all make good farmers!
The children acted the Baby Lamb song for him.
The Keeping up with the Children workshop has been very successful and enjoyed by all. The parents have learned a lot about what goes on in school to develop good reading and writing skills –there is more to it than they thought! I know they have taken the activities to try at home with their children.
The parent’s feedback was very positive and we hope to run similar workshops in the future.
Thank you to those who participated and made it possible.
