Skipping!
Year 2 are practicing hard for the upcoming skipping festival!
We've been using our brains and bodies to learn a tricky routine to the Beatle's song "Good Day Sunshine", and everyone has a very important role to play. We can't wait to perform it at Gateshead Leisure centre, and even though it's been hard work remembering all the moves,we'll be on top form when the festival comes around!
The bright sparks in Year 2 have also been finding out all about electricity! We know what makes a circuit work, and we even know how electricity is made! Our safety posters are excellent, and we had great fun making them. We've also been finding out about Pop Art, and made a brilliant display in our classroom!
Year 2 are an imaginative lot, and have written some very exciting stories about a naughty monkey, inspired by our class nuisance, Imp the Chimp. Everyone did a really good job at making them sound exciting - our writing is getting very grown up!
