Spring! Well hopefully its just around the corner but Year One are full of spring in their step in this first month of the new year.
The first week back KS1 had great fun with the Music Workshop Team from Gateshead. The children joined in many songs and found out about timing and how important it is to listen carefully so you can sing along with the music. We love the Music Team visiting as they have instruments to share and don't mind how much noise we make - as long as it's musical noise!
Year One have a new teacher this half term called Miss Nelson, she is training to be a teacher a has new ideas and interesting resources. The children enjoy a change and still have Mrs Wright once or twice a week so they don't forget who she is.
We had a visit from the Fab Food Funhouse and found out lots of interesting food facts in a very short time.

The fab food funhouse was cool in year six because some of us got picked to go on teams. My team won, the super strawberries and the other team were powerful pineapples. It was soooooooooo fun!!

We did the fab food fun house in key stage 2 and at the end of it I had a sore throat!
