Year One - November 2007
Year One are enjoying looking at dinosaurs and finding out which one is the biggest, the fastest and the scariest of all the dinosaurs.
Two new children who have joined us in September are Zara and Kier, they are settling in well and making new friends.
We are working very hard beginning to learn joined up handwriting and practise it nearly every day.
We have been listening to lots of stories but one of the favourites is The Gruffalo and the children enjoy acting out the story in their groups using puppets to help.
In Religious the children have been finding out about the signs and symbols used in Baptism and found it very interesting to Baptize, Rose, the class dolly in our own ceremony,
Soon we will be performing our Christmas production with Year 2 which is very exciting for all the budding actors in both classes.
Our regular trips to the Library in Whickham are great fun where the librarians find fun things to do and the children enjoy choosing new books. Our next visit is on Tuesday 6th November.
