Creepy Crawlies and Hopeless Camels!
Year 2 had a brilliant time exploring Thornley Woods! We're also practising very hard for our Christmas play...
Year 2 had a brilliant time as nature detectives at Thornley Woods in September! We spent the day finding out all about camouflage, and learning about where animals live. We went in the Hide to watch the birds and squirrels and had to be very quiet so that they wouldn't be scared!
We also used our art skills to create fantastic sculptures and pictures using things we found in the forest, and then had a scavenger hunt. Everyone collected all the right items in a plastic bag. It was really hard to find everything on the list but we had great fun trying!
In the hut, we saw lots of real objects which came from animals. Patrick liked pretending to be a deer! We also saw a badger and a fox.
At the moment, Year 2 are practicing hard for their Christmas play. It's called "The Very Hopeles Camel" and we love singing the songs. We're all trying hard to learn our parts so that we'll have another fantastic performance!
