The children have settled into school remarkably well and are now enjoying our routines. The Buddy system is working fine (I try to resolve any problems quickly) and we have some firm friendships already. Our first Buddy mass was lovely. The children‘s singing was lovely. And Y5 prepared really well. We came back to school and shared stories together. Keep up the good workY5!

We have just started our Literacy Programme and the children are very independent in finding their area linked to their group –Well done!

I hope you are enjoying the Spanish songs as much as the children, they have learned them so quickly and were able to perform ‘live’ for our Spanish visitors who were most impressed!

The first trip to Whickham Library is always daunting (for the teacher!) but the children behaved impeccably and our road safety skills were in place. We thoroughly enjoyed the ‘signs treasure hunt’ there and back.

The children are trying very hard to fasten their coats themselves as the weather changes. Please encourage this at home.
