On Mercredi 3 octobre quatorze [14] Year 5/6 children went to Dryden Professional Centre to take part in a Modern Foreign Languages [MFL] Showcase organised by Madame Barrett and the Primary MFL Team at Dryden.
Mrs McMillan popped in to see the performance and was very pleased and proud.
As well as a display of children's work, ably manned by Rachel Grant and Timothy Davidson, the children sang deux chansons en francais - 'Bonjour, ca va ?' 'Hello, how are you?' and 'Qu'est-ce qu'il y a dans ma trousse?' ['What is in my pencil case?']
The highlight of the performance was, however, the story of 'Boucle d'or et les Trois Ours ['Goldilocks and the 3 Bears'] which was splendidly told by our narrators and acted admirably by Ryan Kirke [Papa], Rachel Bell [Maman], and Lauren Porteous [Bebe] and Anna Ellis and Emma Cartwright as Boucle d'or.
Merci beaucoup to Madame Davidson for all her efforts in helping to prepare the children and to Madame Williams for accompanying them on the minibus.
